At Interlake Dental Centre, we leverage technology to assist in treatment planning and to help make sure your dental appointments run smoothly. Since we can display digital x-rays and scans on the monitors in our treatment rooms, we can easily show you any emerging oral health issues and explain your treatment plan.

Digital X-Rays
Instead of traditional photographic x-ray film, digital x-rays use digital sensors to create highly detailed computer images of your teeth and gums, in addition to other oral structures and conditions. This allows your dentist to check parts of your mouth which are not visible to the naked eye.
Panoramic X-Rays
Using panoramic x-rays, your dentist can create a single image of your entire mouth. This flat image represents your teeth, upper and lower jaws, temporomandibular joints (TMJ), and nasal and sinus structures. We typically use panoramic x-rays to help in treatment planning for dentures, extractions, implants and braces.
Soft Tissue Dental Lasers
Dental lasers (which use extremely focused light beams) are used in various soft tissue procedures, typically for healing and repair purposes. They help our dentists perform dental procedures such as lengthening crowns, reshaping gums and treating periodontal disease while reducing pain.
